Innovator, researcher, advisor.
Dr. Rajiv Garg is an award-winning professor, AI researcher, and advisor who helps leaders understand what happens when artificial intelligence stops being a tool and becomes part of how organizations think, decide, learn, and work.
An Associate Professor at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, Dr. Garg studies AI, human–machine interaction, and the future of work. He advises executives on AI strategy, organizational readiness, and responsible adoption, chairs a pillar of Emory’s Academic AI Taskforce, and serves on NIST AI Consortium task forces working on AI standards, evaluation, and risk management.
His path to AI is anything but conventional. A trained engineer with five degrees, including a PhD from Carnegie Mellon, he worked on space robotics and supervised construction of a 140-megawatt power plant before turning to research and founding several technology ventures. He has since published dozens of papers, secured more than $1 million in research funding, and given more than 100 talks worldwide, and his commentary appears regularly on the BBC, CBS, Fast Company, Inc., CIO, and FOX.
Recognized for teaching excellence by both Emory and IEEE, he brings an educator’s eye to the defining leadership question of the AI era: how people and intelligent systems learn to work well together.
